Kingston Hill is Growing!

Scroll down for pictures of the process.

KHA will be beginning construction to increase space in 2019. See the proposed floor plan below, but please note that this is not the final plan. We will be expanding from 9 classrooms with grades K-5th to 12 classrooms K-5th. This will allow 2 classes of each grade level. We will also be adding a large multi-purpose room, a project-based learning room, and much more!

We have officially awarded the general contract bid to Ahlborg Construction Corporation. Prep work began the week of May 13th. All staff of Ahlborg Construction are required to wear name badges and have BCI checks on file.

Robertson, Green and Baretta (RGB) began working with Kingston Hill Academy in May 2016 to deliver a RIDE Stage II Necessity of School Construction Application for a planned classroom expansion. Kingston Hill Academy charter school in Saunderstown, RI seeks to accommodate growth in student population from the current 190 students up to 260 students. The planned addition would also improve program offerings through a dedicated multiuse classroom for special education, a dedicated STEAM learning space, sensory room for clinical services, and break out areas for small group work. RGB partnered with the engineering team from BER, CA Pretzer, and also worked with Robert Hendriks from Educational Legacy Planning in developing a vision for the facility.
