Enrollment Lottery

Kingston Hill Academy is a public charter school open to all Rhode Island residents. Enrollment is conducted through a random lottery process, in accordance with our charter. Any applicant not selected in the lottery will be placed on a waiting list, which does not roll over from year to year. Applications are submitted electronically via EnrollRI, a centralized platform for charter school applications.

The KHA 2026-2027 Lottery will be held on April 1, 2026

Siblings of current KHA students must complete an enrollment application through EnrollRI to be processed for priority enrollment if/when classroom space is available.

All students entering Kindergarten are screened during the summer prior to their enrollment to assess basic skills. A full battery of kindergarten readiness skills is tested so that teachers have valuable information about their incoming students before the first day of school. As the year progresses these skills are reassessed to determine student growth.

Our staff will be in touch with more details about welcoming your student to KHA.
