Kingston Hill Academy Earns Top State Honor

We are incredibly proud to announce that Kingston Hill Academy has been named a 2026 Rhode Island Blue Ribbon School!
This prestigious award from the Rhode Island Department of Education is given to only a handful of schools each year. Rather than just looking at a single test score, the state evaluates schools on rigorous, federally aligned data to find communities that are truly making a difference.
What makes this honor even more special is that Kingston Hill was recognized in both eligible categories:
  • Exemplary High Performance – Celebrating our students’ outstanding academic achievements.
  • Achievement Gap Closing – Proof of our team’s intentional, equity-driven work to ensure every single learner has the opportunity to succeed.
KHA was the only school in the state to be recognized for both categories! As our Superintendent, Marcella Clark, put it: “Kingston Hill Academy’s recognition in both performance and closing achievement gaps speaks volumes about the intentional and equity-driven work happening in this school community. We are proud of our students and educators for their commitment to excellence and ensuring every learner has the opportunity to succeed.”
This milestone belongs to all of us: our dedicated teachers, hardworking students, and the incredible families who support us every day. Thank you for making KHA such a remarkable place to learn and grow!

KHA Awarded 5 Stars in 2025, again!

The Star Rating system for schools summarizes overall school performance, classifying schools from 1 to 5 stars to provide families and school communities a transparent, accessible, and easy-to-understand snapshot of school performance. For 2025, KHA has been awarded a Five Star Rating. Our rating is driven by the following: Achievement and Growth in the areas of ELA, Math, and Science and School Quality and Success. This combination of scores led to the highest rating a school can receive on the accountability report card.
Open since 2025, KHA’s outdoor classroom gives our students a great change of pace and a chance to get fresh air while doing hands-on projects and lessons.
