One of my personal New Year’s Resolutions was to get out and meet new people, try new activities, etc. If you are looking to do the same, I have some KHA-related opportunities to help you out with that goal! See below for some upcoming committee meetings and workshops.
Committee Meetings
LAC Team – The next meeting of the LAC Team will be on February 7th at 5:30. The LAC Team is a group made up of parents and educators of students with IEP’s or 504’s. The goal is to provide education and resources for families to help best support their child(ren). If you a parent that falls under this category and would like to attend, please RSVP to Amanda Wild at awild@kingstonhill.org.
PTO – The next meeting of the PTO will be on February 8th at 6:00 (virtual). We will be recapping the prior PTO-events and discussing/planning the upcoming events. All families are encouraged to participate.
SIT Team – Our next meeting is February 13thfrom 3:45-5:00 in the Maker Space. We will be checking in on the progress towards meeting our 2023-2024 goals and begin looking towards the 2024-2025 School Year already. All families are encouraged to participate.
Workshops
SEL Workshop for Families – One of our initiatives this year has been collaborating with the Autism Project to help support our students’ SEL needs. They have been helping design our after-school SEL tutoring groups and some educators have been visiting local schools to see the Conscious Discipline curriculum in action. To that end, we will be hosting a 6-week long SEL Workshop for Families starting on Tuesday, February 27th and running weekly until April 2nd. All families are encouraged to participate. More details will be coming soon!
