Dear KHA Community,

March is a busy month over here at KHA! See below for some hot off the press updates and some reminders of March events and activities.

Chief Administrator Update

I have some exciting news to report on this front. We have officially hired a Chief Administrator for KHA! Marcella Terranova Clark, the current Principal of Hamilton Elementary School, will be joining the KHA community on May 1st. As that date gets closer, she will reach out with a more formal introduction. Don’t worry though, I am certainly not going anywhere. I just can’t do it all 🙂

SurveyWorks

As mentioned last week, each year public schools all participate in SurveyWorks to gather data from families about their overall experience. This input is very valuable to us and helps inform the experience for your students. As of today, we have only 3 responses. For context, last year we had 165 reponses. Granted that was a KHA-record, but I would love to see a higher response rate. Please visit bit.ly/ridefamily by March 31st to complete the survey.

PD Day

As a reminder, there is no school for students next Tuesday, March 12th as the staff has a PD Day.

May 9th and 10th – 4th Grade Math RICAS State Assessment
May 14th and 15th – 3rd Grade Math RICAS State Assessment
May 16th and 17th – 5th Grade NGSA Science State Assessment
