Dear KHA Families,

Despite the gloomy weather lately, there is so much to celebrate at KHA right now that I can’t even contain my excitement. See below for some of the recent successes we have had so far this year!

Move-a-Thon 🏃

Thank you so much to the PTO and you all for helping your children spread the word to help us raise a staggering $29,000 with this year’s Move-a-Thon! All of the proceeds will be going directly back to the students in some way and that is just plain awesome. But wait – there’s more!

America’s Healthiest Schools Award 💪

Last year, Nurse Judy nominated KHA for America’s Healthiest Schools and loe and behold – we won! This means the KHA is one of only 781 schools in the entire country to be recognized for supporting the physical, mental, and social-emotional health of students, staff, and families. Feinstein Golden Tickets 💸

The next round of Golden Tickets are being pulled this Monday. Tune in to WPRI Channel 12 at 4:30 to see if your child won. Who knows – maybe we will have another winner 🙂

Ways to Help 🙋

Now that I have your attention, I thought I would take a minute to let you know of some opportunities to help the KHA community this year and beyond. Please consider…

• Being a PTO Member or join us for a PTO Meeting to help plan and/or volunteer at PTO events (contact the PTO for more details)
• Being a Building Committee Member to help us design, maintain, and elevate our buildings and grounds (contact Mr V. for more details)
• Being a SIT Team Member to have input into the curriculum, staffing, budget, and other programming at the school (contact Mr V. for more details)
