Parent Orientation Details 👬
Parent Orientation (aka Back to School Night) is this Thursday from 6:00-8:00.  This event is for adults only.  We will start with a general overview in the Multi Purpose Room at 6:00.  Around 6:20 we will break up into classrooms for the grade-specific information sessions.  At 7:00 or so, we will stop Session 1 and start Session 2.  That way if you have children in multiple grade levels, you can meet their teachers.  We will end Session 2 at 7:50 so the teachers can head home.  Please note this is a time to meet the teachers, see the classrooms, and hear general grade-specific information.  This is not an event designed to discuss your child specifically.

Water Issue 🚱
Due to an issue with the staff lounge sink, we are going to have to treat the entire school’s water on Monday.  This means students can’t drink from the water bubblers or sinks until we get the go ahead from RIDOH.  We will be getting some plastic water bottles, but please send your child with ample water to last throughout the day.  Also, rest assured that this was an area completely isolated from students and the water is clear for hand-washing.  We anticipate that this will last for the majority of next week.

Picture Day 📸
Picture Day is this Wednesday.  Please return your picture forms if you are interested in buying pictures.  All students will be included in the class picture regardless of whether you are purchasing or not.

Bus Stop Timing 🚍
The first week or so of bus pick up and drop off is always a work in progress for a multitude of reasons.  Please note that the time listed on the bus routes is the time the bus is scheduled to leave and arrive at the bus stop.  Therefore, please arrive prior to that time to ensure that the routes run as close as possible to the projected times.

Buses – Part 2 🚫
As mentioned before, please do not pass any school bus or van transportation on the left.

Nurse Judy 🏥
I didn’t mean to cause a panic in any way by asking if anyone was interested in subbing for Nurse Judy.  She is not retiring, going on sabbatical, or anything big like that.  We simply want to beef up her sub list in the very rare case she is not here 🙂

Early Dismissals or School Closings ⛔
Any early dismissals and/or school dismissals will be announced on the Rhode Island Broadcasters Association website.  You can CLICK HERE to sign up to get text messages related to KHA (or any other school).  We will also be using Blackboard Connect and email to announce as well.
