Thank you, Nurse Judy!

What is the KHA School Improvement Team (S.I.T.)? The School Improvement Team is a committee of teachers, school staff, parents, and administrators dedicated to helping improve educational outcomes for all students, and to supporting school goals. The team meets bimonthly after school to oversee the implementation of an annual school improvement plan. Consideration is given to educational issues that have a correlation to improve student achievement and that align to the KHA strategic plan established in conjunction with the Board of Trustees.

What does the School Improvement Team (S.I.T.) do? The S.I.T. builds teacher and leadership capacity and drives a culture of learning at the school. They do this by:

  1. Providing feedback on curriculum initiatives
  2. Analyze student achievement data and develop goals in areas of needed improvement
  3. Develop and oversee the implementation of an annual school improvement plan aimed at improving teaching and learning and supporting school-based initiatives designed for that purpose
  4. Collect survey data of the school community to inform the work
  5. Ensure that the budget is developed in support of improved educational performance

The first S.I.T. meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, October 18th from 3:45pm-4:45pm in the KHA Maker Space. Parents are an important part of the School Improvement Team, please consider joining.

The RI Department of Health together with the RI Department of Education has distributed an allotment of at home Covid-19 tests to schools. If you would like us to send one home in your child’s backpack, then please email Nurse Judy at jdangelo@kingstonhill.org

*Limit one per student.
